Homeschool music classes offer a unique and enriching experience for students that can be hard to provide at home. Even if you’re a talented musician, it can be hard to drum up an ensemble for your students to practice with.
That’s where we come in.
For homeschool families in Johnson County, TX, and surrounding areas, TEACH Cleburne has been a trusted partner since 2013, providing a variety of a’la carte classes.
With a focus on creating rich academic experiences from PreK4 through high school, our music classes are designed to inspire and educate young musicians in a fun, engaging environment.
TEACH Cleburne Homeschool Music Classes
Here at TEACH Cleburne, we’re excited to offer a range of music classes for homeschoolers. We create homeschool music lessons for all age groups, ensuring every child can explore and enjoy music in a way that’s perfect for them.
Take a look.
PreK4 – 2nd Grade: Music Exploration
Our youngest learners embark on a delightful musical adventure. They’ll discover where music comes from, how it’s made, and explore various instruments and genres.
We even dive into the historical significance of certain tunes and holidays. This class focuses on the basics of music literacy, creative expression, and cultural relevance.
Starting in PreK4, kids get hands-on with music, learning to read, write, and create—all while having a blast.
PreK4 – 5th Grade: Intro to Theater
Let’s encourage all of that fun singing and dancing that happens around your house.
New this year! In our theater class, young students get to combine their love for music, dressup, and pretend into familiar roles and fun performances.
They’ll learn the basics of performing, from singing and dancing to acting out fun scenes.
This class is perfect for fostering creativity and building confidence in your youngest learners.
At the end of each semester, students will have the chance to shine in a performance, sharing their new skills to family and friends.
2nd – 5th Grade: Elementary Music
For our slightly older students, we offer a fantastic elementary homeschool music class. It’s designed for kids 12 and under, and we cover all the basics in a fun, engaging way.
Whether your child is new to music or has some experience, they’ll feel right at home. We start from the beginning, learning about stringed instruments, rhythms, and music appreciation.
Plus, they’ll begin reading music and understanding basic music theory.
Students will need a stringed instrument of their choice for at-home practice, which makes the learning even more hands-on. If you’re looking for homeschool violin lessons, this is a perfect fit!
Middle and High School: Band & Orchestra
Our middle school band and orchestra classes are perfect for students who want to dive deeper into music.
Whether they’re picking up a new instrument or improving their skills, they’ll learn to read music, apply basic improvisational skills, and perform as part of an ensemble.
It’s a wonderful way for students to grow their musical talents while building friendships and boosting their collaborative skills.
Middle and High School: Choir & Musical Theater
This class brings together the joy of singing and the thrill of theater. Homeschool choir students engage in choral activities and theatrical performances, combining songs and spoken dialogue with acting and dance.
Homeschool acting classes are an excellent way to boost stage presence and performance skills.
Each semester wraps up with a musical or dramatic performance, giving students a chance to showcase their progress to family and friends.
We’re here to make music learning fun and educational, providing a comprehensive musical experience for every age group at TEACH Cleburne.
Consider the Importance of Music Classes for Homeschoolers
Music education is more than just learning to play an instrument or sing. It can be a rich aspect of a well-rounded education.
As you create your homeschooling schedule, consider the numberous benefits incorporating music into your routine can have.
Boost Cognitive and Emotional Development
Music education does wonders for both the brain and the heart. Did you know that research show that learning music can boost memory, sharpen attention, improve mood and even help with math skills?
Plus, it gives kids a great way to express their feelings and develop empathy.
Build Discipline and Time Management Skills
Playing an instrument or singing in a choir takes dedication and practice. It’s one of the ways we help kids learn to manage their time, set goals, and stay disciplined.
They’ll use these skills in every part of their lives.
Enhance Creativity and Self-Expression
Music is a fantastic way to foster creativity and self-expression. Whether it’s composing a new song, improvising on an instrument, or interpreting a piece of music, music students learn to think outside the box.
This creativity isn’t just for music either—it spills over into other subjects and areas of life.

Opportunities for Performance and Recitals
Performing is a key part of learning music. Although performing for parents and grandparents is wonderful, it’s hard to create a more impactful recital if your homeschool music class is a class of one.
Our students have multiple opportunities to showcase their talents through recitals and performances.
You’ll see the TEACH Cleburne music classes perform in the Cleburne Christmas Parade, provide holiday performances at local Senior Living Centers, enjoy solo opportunities at our Spring Showcase and more.
These events boost confidence and ensure students can share their progress with family and friends.
